Healing the Land
The Power of Plants.
On the banks of the Swan River, sat 44 hectares of non-productive agricultural land. The previously forested land had been cleared for agricultural use, creating stagnant land that offered no benefit to its people. Project Forest worked closely with Swan River First Nation to rewild the land, planting over 90,000 seedlings across 10 species of food-bearing, culturally, and medicinally significant plants.
